Flues in voids

Posted on:

Cross bonesDoes your gas boiler flue run through an adjacent room, if so is it boxed in, run through a void or is not possible to see, your flue could be in a dangerous condition.

Up until January 2013 GAS SAFE regulations stated it was ok to have a CO DETECTOR in that particular room, now however it is classed as at least an AT RISK situation due to many fatalities, the fact the flue cannot be inspected for leakage, incorrect installation, unsatisfactory and general condition, inspection panels must be installed along the length of the flue to aid inspection.
